Pete White
After working for many years as an aircraft systems engineer I changed direction to pursue my passion for cabinet making. 14 years ago I started my bespoke kitchen making business petewhitedesigns.co.uk and established a speciality in veneered and curved work.
My obsession with Airstreams combines my interest in engineering, design and craftsmanship and my love of camping and the outdoors. Airstream combine aircraft based construction, iconic design and beautiful engineering and are the perfect setting for my bespoke interiors. I believe these amazing vintage vehicles deserve to be lovingly restored to the best possible standards.
I work with certified electrical, gas, plumbing and fabrication specialists to deliver restorations which re-life vintage Airstreams. Our restorations are about quality, design and innovation, true to the spirit of Airstream. With modern systems and technology our restorations exploit the potential level of comfort and convenience not possible when they were originally built in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Owning an Airstream
Staying in an airstream will always be cool, but a well designed, beautiful interior with modern luxuries adds another dimension.
The end result of any of our projects should be an airstream which has been restored to look and operate beautifully in many environments.
Our aim is to minimise any of the normal compromises associated with camping so that the pleasure of living in the great outdoors can be fully appreciated. To be warm and comfortable, to prepare food in a well equipped kitchen, to take a warm and powerful shower are all basic requirements we take for granted at home. To have this level of comfort wherever you go, whether at a festival, by a beach, or in the middle of a wild moor is a true luxury.
Add to this all the technology we have become used to such as WIFI and digital entertainment and you have truly versatile mobile accommodation.
Towing an Airstream
Airstream models from the 50s, 60s and 70s vary dramatically in size and weight.
Regardless of model, all airstreams are designed to be stable and tow well. We can provide advice on towing an airstream. Please contact us.....
Safety underpins all our work and the all application of safely standards is considered at every stage of each project.
All work is certified to the relevant UK safety standards. All gas and electrical work is undertaken by qualified and certified engineers.
